Blood draws and sample collection at home, by a qualified nurse

Travelling to a laboratory on an empty stomach, queuing, then coming back for the report: for a routine blood panel, a pregnancy follow-up or a check-up your doctor requested, that trip is rarely necessary. Hany arranges blood sampling at home in Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech and Tanger: a qualified nurse or laboratory technician comes to you at the slot you chose, usually early in the morning when fasting is required. The equipment is sterile and single-use, the sample is labelled in front of you, and it is then transported to a partner analysis laboratory that runs the tests and issues the report.

Travelling to a laboratory on an empty stomach, queuing, then coming back for the report: for a routine blood panel, a pregnancy follow-up or a check-up your doctor requested, that trip is rarely necessary. A medical prescription is usually required: have it ready, because it defines which tests are performed and determines reimbursement by your mutuelle or the CNSS. Results are issued by the laboratory according to its own timelines and channels — most often by email or collection on site — and interpreting them is your doctor's role, never that of the nurse who took the sample. Hany makes no diagnosis and comments on no value. Our role stops where it is genuinely useful: finding an available professional near you in Salé, Fès or Agadir, stating the call-out fee before the visit, and letting you follow the appointment from the app.

Frequently asked questions about at-home testing

Do I need a prescription for a blood test at home?

In the vast majority of cases, yes. Your doctor's prescription specifies which tests are to be performed and remains essential for any reimbursement claim to the CNSS or your private health insurer. Prepare it before the appointment and keep it to hand: the nurse checks it on arrival, before taking any sample.

How much does a home blood draw cost in Morocco?

The nurse's call-out fee is generally between 100 and 200 DH, on top of the cost of the tests billed by the partner laboratory. A standard blood panel often comes to 250–500 DH, and a thyroid panel to 300–600 DH. These amounts are indicative and vary with the tests prescribed and the city.

Do I need to fast before the sample is taken?

It depends on the tests prescribed. A fasting glucose or a lipid panel generally requires 8 to 12 hours without food, though water remains allowed. Other assays do not require it. The instructions are repeated to you before the appointment, which is why morning slots are the most requested.

When and how are the results delivered?

Results are produced and delivered by the partner analysis laboratory, according to its own timelines and channels, most often by email or collection on site. Turnaround ranges from a few hours to several days depending on the tests. Interpreting them is your treating doctor's role: neither the nurse nor Hany comments on the values obtained.

Which cities is home sampling available in?

The service covers Casablanca and its outskirts, Rabat, Salé, Témara, Marrakech, Tanger, Fès and Agadir, with the widest availability along the Casablanca–Rabat corridor. Coverage depends on which professionals are free at the requested time; the app shows the slots genuinely bookable in your neighbourhood before you confirm.
