What repairs can a mechanic do at my home?
- Anything that does not need a lift or a spray booth: oil change, filters, brake pads and discs, battery, alternator, starter motor, spark plugs, hoses, bulbs, wipers, electronic diagnostics and small leaks. Clutch, timing belt, gearbox, wheel alignment and bodywork need a proper workshop. The mechanic tells you straight after the diagnostic.
Does the mechanic bring the oil and the parts?
- Yes. You give the make, model and engine when booking, and the mechanic arrives with the matching oil and parts. You can also supply your own parts if you have already bought them; in that case only labour is charged, and the price is confirmed before the work begins.
How much does an oil change at home cost in Casablanca?
- A full oil change with a new oil filter usually runs between 350 and 800 DH, labour, oil and filter included. The spread comes from the oil type — mineral, semi-synthetic or fully synthetic — and from how much oil the engine takes. A modern diesel uses noticeably more oil than a small petrol city car.
My battery is flat, what should I do?
- Book a roadside assistance job: the mechanic comes out, tests the battery, alternator and starter to confirm the battery really is the culprit, then restarts the car. If the battery is dead he replaces it on site and takes the old one away. Budget 150 to 350 DH for the call-out, part not included.
Do you work in emergencies, evenings or weekends?
