The carpenter works with solid wood, plywood and MDF, and also with aluminium and PVC joinery: adjusting sliding windows, replacing seals, changing rollers, fitting insect screens. He assembles furniture bought in store, fixes shelves and curtain rails to concrete or plasterboard walls, builds a fitted wardrobe to match an alcove, restores a door swollen by humidity and replaces a kitchen worktop. Every craftsman in the network is vetted before working, and jobs are rated by customers in Maarif, Agdal or Hay Riad after each visit.

Frequently asked questions about carpentry at home

How much does a carpenter cost in Morocco?

A small job — adjusting a door, fitting shelves, changing a lock — runs from 80 to 400 DH. Flat-pack furniture assembly costs 200 to 600 DH depending on the number of units. A fitted wardrobe is priced per square metre of frontage, between 1,000 and 2,500 DH, materials excluded. These figures are indicative and confirmed once measurements are taken.

Do you build bespoke wardrobes?

Yes. The carpenter comes to measure up at your home, discusses materials (melamine MDF, plywood, solid wood), the number of doors and the internal layout, then gives you a costed quote. The unit is built in the workshop and installed at your home, usually one to two weeks after you approve the quote.

Does the carpenter supply the wood and hardware?

For small repairs he brings screws, wall plugs, hinges and standard finishing products. For a wardrobe, a new door or a worktop, materials are quoted separately: you can buy them yourself or let him order them for you, at the same price as listed.

Do you work on aluminium joinery?

Yes: sliding windows and patio doors that stick, worn rollers, seals to replace, broken handles and locks, insect screen fitting. The carpenter also adjusts PVC doors and manual roller shutters. Full custom fabrication of aluminium frames, however, is not offered through this page.

How long does furniture assembly take?

Allow around an hour for a desk or a table, two to three hours for a sliding-door wardrobe, and half a day for a set of several units. The carpenter arrives with his drill-driver, spirit level and hammer drill, fixes the unit to the wall if needed, and takes the packaging away with him.
